As harmless as they seem, ads are one of the most annoying parts of the Internet. You can never know if a large "Download" button will actually download something or if a small "X" icon will close a pop-up or take you to another website. Fortunately, the solution is quite simple, especially if you are a Google Chrome or Safari user. AdBlock is capable of suppressing any ad that shows up on your browser, regardless if you are watching a web video or reading an article on a website.

AdBlock is essentially a Google Chrome extension and it is available for Safari as well. You can have it up and running on your browser in just a few seconds and it takes nothing more than two clicks to start and end the process. You don't have to meet any special requirements to install this extension and you won't notice any significant impact on your browser's performance.

Installing AdBlock on your browser is all you have to do. Once the extension is installed, you won't notice any more ads on any website. This includes simple ads, banners, pop-ups and anything else that is designed to show you a product you aren't interested in. The application's effects are noticeable in particular when you visit websites with countless ads, from which you will be redirected regardless of where you click.

When installed, AdBlock places a small icon on your browser's interface, which gives you immediate access to a few useful options. For example, you can pause its add blocking functionality, block a specific ad or disable the extension for the current website and more. Additional options can be found on a separate page and they allow you to fine tune the extension's filters and make many other tweaks.

While AdBlock is running on your web browser, you will never see another ad again.

Pros

Letting AdBlock run on your browser is all you have to do. It is capable of blocking any kind of ad, on any website. The extension can be installed almost instantly, with only two clicks.

Cons

There are no obvious drawbacks to mention.
